Group Motorcycle Tours
There's nothing quite like the camaraderie of a group ride. Small group motorcycle tours bring together riders with a shared love of adventure — from open departures that build a crew of strangers into friends, to private bookings for clubs and riding groups.
What defines a group tour?
Group tours are typically led or co-ordinated, with eight to twenty riders travelling together — combining the social energy of riding in formation with the practical benefits of a planned route, shared logistics, and a support vehicle. Open group departures mix riders from around the world; private group bookings put your own crew on the same infrastructure.
Organising a group trip
Booking for a riding club or a group of friends is easier than most organisers expect — and usually cheaper per rider than booking individually. Most operators offer group rates from around six to eight bikes, will hold provisional blocks of places while your group confirms, and can turn any listed itinerary into a private departure with its own guide once numbers justify it. As the organiser, tell the operator early about mixed abilities, pillion passengers, and bike preferences: the trip brief gets built around exactly those details. Minimum and maximum group sizes, and whether group pricing applies, are listed per trip — or contact the operator through the trip page to scope a private date.
Riding in a group
Good group riding requires awareness, clear signals, and a relaxed pace that keeps everyone together. Most operators provide a group briefing before departure covering ride protocol, corner-marking, and emergency procedures — and a well-run group never rides faster than its most cautious member on that day's roads.
The social side
Group tours are as much about the people as the roads. Shared breakdowns, spontaneous stops, and after-dinner stories make group riding a deeply social experience that solo touring simply can't replicate.
