Guided Motorcycle Tours

A professional guide leads the way — you focus on riding while every detail of the trip is looked after. Guided motorcycle tours are the most popular way to ride a new country for the first time — and usually the easiest starting point if you haven't toured abroad before.

What's included in a guided motorcycle tour?

The core of every guided tour is a professional lead rider who knows the route the way you know your commute — every bend, every fuel stop, every café worth stopping at. Around that sits the infrastructure that makes the holiday effortless: pre-booked rider-friendly hotels, daily route briefings, a support vehicle carrying your luggage (and, if a bike develops a problem, the bike), and usually most evening meals at restaurants the guide has been visiting for years. Motorcycle hire is available on nearly every guided trip, so you can fly to the start point rather than spend two days on motorways getting there. In short: you ride, everything else is handled.

Is a guided tour right for me?

If you're visiting a destination for the first time, don't want the stress of route planning, or simply want to ride with someone who can share local knowledge, a guided tour is ideal. Groups are usually kept small — six to twelve riders — so the experience stays personal, and daily distances (typically 200–300 km on the good roads) are set by people who plan riding holidays for a living. It's also the format that suits first-time tourers best: the learning curve of foreign signage, fuel logistics and route-finding simply disappears.

Guided or self-guided?

The honest answer: guided for a first visit, self-guided once you know how touring feels. Self-guided trips use the same hotels and routes with GPS tracks and luggage transfers, but you ride at your own pace without a group — noticeably cheaper, noticeably quieter. Small-group tours sit in between: your own crew, shared logistics. Spain is the destination where all three formats are most developed, with decades-old operators running the same celebrated Andalusian and Pyrenean routes in every flavour.

The social side

Your fellow riders are often the highlight. Guided tours attract riders from around the world with a shared passion — evenings at dinner become some of the most memorable moments of the trip, and it's common for groups that met on a tour to book the next one together.
